Phone Bidding Process - Roadhouse Collectable Auctions

Phone Bidding Process

1. Overview

Phone bidding is a service offered by RCA to registered bidders who prefer to place bids by telephone during a live auction. A staff member from RCA will call the registered phone bidder shortly before the relevant lot is offered and will relay the bidding activity in real-time.

2. Phone Bidder Registration Process

To register for phone bidding, the bidder must:

  • Register online for the auction.

Complete a Phone Bid Registration Form at least 24 hours prior to the auction.

  • Provide valid photo identification.
  • Agree to the auction’s Terms and Conditions.
  • Provide a valid credit card.

3. On the Day of the Auction

  • An RCA staff member will contact the registered bidder prior to the auction of the nominated lot(s).
  • The staff member will confirm the bidder’s identity and readiness.
  • During the auction, the staff member will communicate live bidding increments and place bids on behalf of the phone bidder who must be on the phone.
  • All bids placed via phone carry the same binding obligation as online or in-person bids.

4. Important Notes

  • RCA is not responsible for missed calls, poor signal, or technical failures that may impact the bidder’s participation.
  • All phone bids are subject to the same buyer’s premium and conditions as other bids.
  • Bidders are encouraged to nominate a maximum bid amount as a backup in case of disconnection – bids will be advised by the bidder to RCA during the lot being auctioned.
