Internet Bidding Process

1. Overview

Internet bidding allows registered users to participate in RCA auctions online from anywhere using a secure bidding platform. This process applies to both timed online auctions and live-streamed events where online bidding is enabled.

2. Online Bidder Registration Process

To place bids online, users must:

Create an account via the RCA bidding platform.
Agree to the auction Terms and Conditions for each auction attended.
Provide accurate contact details and payment information.
Verify their email address and optionally submit identification.

3. Placing a Bid

Bidders can place bids by clicking the ‘Bid’ button next to any active lot.
Maximum (auto) bids can be set, allowing the system to bid incrementally on the bidder’s behalf.
For timed auctions, bidding closes at the published end time unless extended due to last-minute bids.
For live-streamed auctions, bidding occurs in real-time alongside in-room or phone bids.

4. Notifications and Updates

Registered bidders may receive outbid notifications via email or SMS.
Auction status updates, bidding confirmations, and invoice details will be sent to the registered contact details.
It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure they are monitoring their bids and notifications.

5. After the Auction

Winning bidders will receive an invoice within 24 hours.
Payment must be made within the terms stated on the invoice.
Collection or shipping arrangements must be made within the specified timeframe.
Items not collected or paid for may incur storage fees or be resold.

6. Technical Support and Disclaimers

RCA is not liable for technical issues, internet failures, or user device errors affecting bidding.
Bidders are encouraged to place maximum bids early if they can’t ensure their internet connection is stable.
All online bids are legally binding and subject to the same conditions as in-person bids.
