Absentee Bidding

RCA accepts absentee bids (also known as commission bids) as a courtesy to buyers who are unable to participate in the auction live.

To submit an absentee bid, buyers must complete and return the official RCA Absentee Bid Form prior to the auction closing time. RCA will then place bids on the buyer’s behalf up to the maximum amount indicated on the form.

Important Conditions:

• All absentee bids must be confirmed in writing and received before the published auction start time.
• RCA will make reasonable efforts to execute absentee bids competitively and fairly, starting at the lowest possible increment.
• If identical absentee bids are received for the same item, the bid received earliest will take precedence.
• RCA does not accept responsibility for errors in bidding, late submissions, failure to execute bids, or any bids lost due to technical or administrative issues.
• Absentee bids are binding and subject to the same Terms & Conditions, including the Buyer’s Premium and payment requirements.
• Items successfully purchased via absentee bid must be paid for and collected/shipped in accordance with standard buyer obligations.
